Review on Rollerbones Bearings 8mm 16 Pack by Francisco Holmes

Poor performance which only made it worse for me

I bought these for my Moxi beach bunnies about a year ago and have been trying to get them to work for me ever since. Out of the box I was disappointed with the performance, they didn't spin very well even when brand new. I've read reviews that claim the same for others; Some said they had boxes with some bearings that didn't turn at all. The price was right so I decided to risk it. When they arrived the grease was leaking all over the place, seeping through the box and some bearings performed better than others but none of them were of the quality I was hoping for. ), but of course they quickly swelled and became unbearable. There are many hills and uneven surfaces in my area and these camps made my adventures arduous as I could not hold the roller to save my life even with my large outside wheels. Since then I have tried to clean them several times. I tried a high acetone nail polish remover with no additives that I saw recommended for cleaning. Today I decided to spend money to try a chemical solvent but to no avail. Each time I immediately oiled the Zoom Spout, but the spin only got worse each time. The video I've attached was taken right after my last attempt at cleaning. I'm not sure if I messed them up in any way trying to get them to spin properly, but I have a set of regular ABEC solid bearings that came with a couple of wheels that I've owned for a couple now years of use, while I'd happily upgrade them (which is why I bought Rollcubes) they continue to work much better than these bearings ever did for me. I guess next time I should just spend a lot more and get a decent set of reds
