This is a heavy duty DJ/Music Equipment Stand. It's quite heavy, so I wouldn't call it particularly portable, but if you're traveling with heavy gear or using it to set up on site, it's perfect. In my own case I use this as part of a "music station" home studio built around desktop height. This Odyssey stand is perfect for elevating the mixer and laptop above other equipment I have laid out on my desk. Unlike the previous reviewer, my purchase arrived well packaged and with detailed instructions. Very easy assembly, high quality parts. The levers and plates are rock solid - not wobbly at all, and the various links are easily tightened to allow for more or less freedom of movement should you wish to tilt the plates. Before buying I recommend you to check the price history as it varies. far in time.
