Excellent lens. Very sharp and clear at 1.4. fast af Better than any Canon L wide-angle lens I've used. 17-40 f4 and 16-35 2.8. At f/1.4, Sigma produces sharper images than f/4 and f/2.8 of Canon glass. This lens isn't for you if you're the type of person who dislikes sharp glass because it reproduces too much detail. The image quality is on par with the Sigma 35 f/1.4, 135 f/1.8 and 105 f/1.4. I'm used to holding large and heavy glass, so the weight and size don't bother me. He looks very light. My biggest complaint is about the lens cap. Sigma had to add a locking mechanism to the cap, similar to what Canon has on its 8-15 f4 lens. I found that if it was in my pocket the lid would fall off. I might think about adding velcro. I tested this on Sony a7r iii and Sony a6000.
