It works great in all of my aquariums. I have 2.5 gallon, 4 gallon, 5 gallon, 10 gallon, 20 gallon and 30 gallon. The longer nozzle works really well in 10 and 30 gallon tanks, but isn't very effective in smaller tanks because the entire majority of the hose you stick into the water has to be fully submerged to maintain suction. The smaller nozzle works great. I read a few reviews that said it stopped working after a use or two, but I used it on 5 of my tanks in one day. I love this product. Excellent for the price
