I have an electric oven and can see why it will not work for a gas oven as the description states. My experience with these liners has only been positive because I have an electric range/oven. Before use I cleaned the oven and then placed the liner on the bottom of the oven under the heating coil. Received them a few weeks before the holidays so they came in really handy when baking. Whatever was baked in my oven, if anything dropped, it fell on this liner. After my oven has completely cooled, I simply remove the liner and wipe it clean. Whatever falls on it, the food just falls off. Even when baking candy, it comes off without damaging the insert itself. They are really easy to use and even easier to clean. Not to mention I still have a clean oven.
