Review on πŸ”‘ Authentic General Motors D1499C Ignition Switch - Ensuring Quality Performance by Josh Kim

No problems and reasonable costs.

I'm not sure where this part came from, if it's made in Mexico, China or somewhere else. These contacts typically have a normal lifespan of about 10 or 12 years. After that, your car may not start when you turn the key. Carbon footprints tend to appear on the contacts that draw the most current. You can disassemble and clean this thing, but the replacement cost isn't that great and you can rest assured that the new component will handle it. So far this assembly has been performing as it should and fixing the issue. Hope it lasts as long as the original.

Pros
  • Switches and Relays
Cons
  • Not all will fit
