There is no heaviness to be felt. That is beautiful.

I received my comforter today so I'll post my first impressions and update my review later. The ceiling is beautiful. Really handsome. Aesthetically it's incredible. I bought the dark gray in ยฃ20. Just for reference, I'm 5'0 and 119 lbs. I know it's heavy for someone my size, but I've had 20 pound blankets before and prefer the heavier weight. Unfortunately, this blanket turned out to be REALLY light. My light regular blankets and this weighted blanket feel the same on my body when I'm in bed. Again, these are first impressions and I'll update my review after use if I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem to offer the snuggle, compression, or anything that weighted blankets are supposed to offer. In fact, it "folds" very easily, so that in some places the blanket doesn't even rest on my body. That upsets me a lot. I am absolutely in love with the aesthetic of this duvet and really want to keep it, but I can't justify the cost when I need a weighted duvet to get a good night's sleep. If they offered the same blanket for ยฃ30, it might be a ยฃ20 blanket. Also note that the fabric is quite rough. Update after first night: This blanket sleeps hot. I think it makes sense given the material it's made of, but I read in the listing that it doesn't sleep well, so I'm upset about that. The weight of the quilt was definitely similar to any regular summer quilt. It also rose every time I moved or moved, leaving large gaps between my body and the ceiling. It doesn't hug the body like a weighted blanket should. It is so beautiful! I want it to work but I need an actual weighted blanket and can't justify the price for something that only looks good and doesn't work. I'll give an update in a week to see if he just needs a little time to become more pliable so he can be hugged, but I don't think he'll ever feel like a 20lb blanket . Upon further examination, it turned out to be made of cotton wool or some similar material stuffed into tubes. The hoses are very light and soft between the fingers. I really wish I had a magic wand to wave and make this blanket act like a 20lb blanket. I think the bigger the blanket, the more the weight is distributed. If YNM made this 30lb blanket without increasing the size of the blanket, it would probably feel the same as a 20lb blanket. I think this thing should come back and it makes me sad. YNM, I know this woven blanket is a relatively new product so I'm hoping maybe some tweaks will be made fairly quickly to make it hug the body and really feel like a 20lb blanket.
