Surprisingly Bad Best in Saw Blades Parts & Accessories

I bought this quickly based on the overall reviews without reading some of the best ones first. I'm actually really surprised that so many people gave good reviews for it since it's so awful. - It's thin plastic. Depending on where you apply downward pressure while cutting, your grooves will be deeper or shallower than intended as this needle plate flexes up and down. In fact, it is not suitable for the specified saws. As others have pointed out, the notch on the side is much smaller than the notch on the stock needle plate which is for the strip of fabric to the left of the blade. Instead, it simply rests on the fabric, causing even more bounce and bounce as you cut. Others have also complained that it sits lower than the saw's face, causing parts to snag as you pass. I also felt this was correct when I first used it, but then I realized I had to align it first. This fixed the sticking problem, but it's impossible to line it up perfectly as the slightest pressure will move it out of plane because it's so brittle. Surprised that this is actually made by Dewalt and that these very obvious issues have not been addressed after years of referral. I think the only correct solution is to skip this and build your own dado stitch plate.
