Very easy to use with just two buttons

I received this item for hiking. It's very light and well built. It is very easy to use with just two buttons: one button to turn on and activate the measurement and the other button to choose between the three modes and the yard/meter scale. Three modes: distance, flag and speed. While I haven't been able to verify the accuracy of the distance, it's very consistent. The measuring range seems to be very small and right in the middle. I was trying to measure a distant building between the branches of a tree. While the branch didn't have a + sign, it indicated the size of the building, the moment I placed the branch on the + sign, the distance changed accordingly. It also supports continuous measurements, which is very handy when you want to get an idea of the terrain. Flag mode is for the reverse use case where you really want to measure something from the front, but it's very flimsy. It works very well and makes it easy to get the right subject, especially when viewed from a long distance. The speed measurement is nice too, but a bit more confusing. You have to press the power button and point at a moving target. I think the manual could have explained a bit better how to use this mode, e.g. B. whether the device must remain stationary or whether it can be moved with the subject. Also, it would be better if we could measure not only km/h, but also km/h. This device has a built-in battery that is very easy to charge and use. I don't think it's better built-in or swappable, especially when you're on the go. But after a day of use, my batter still seems fully charged. One thing I think is missing is that the LCD cannot be backlit. So if you're using it at night, the readings are a little hard to see. A small LED inside next to the LCD could solve this problem, but that's secondary. If you play golf or hike, chances are you'll be home by nightfall. Haven't tried any other golf range finders so this review isn't a comparison but I'm really impressed and would recommend it to others.
