This actually works! A good stop gap solution!

I was using Sleep Number's cooling pillow protectors until recently as they no longer offer them. They were made with Outlast technology and after trying every conceivable cooling technology, they are/were the only thing that works! I got a new bed recently and my pillow protector while still working great was a bit worse for wear so I wanted to get another but found that Sleep Number no longer has them. (The original cooling pillow protectors are the only decent thing Sleep Number makes).I started looking elsewhere and could not find such a thing except for two places, but they want $60 to $70 for one pillow protector! (Sleep Number sold theirs for $35, which is still expensive, but were worth it).One place informed me that they will be having a sitewide sale in May, so I may want to wait until then. The issue is that I need a cooling protector sooner.I then noticed this one on Revain and recognized the pattern. While the cooling technology is not mentioned specifically, I figured it likely is not Outlast technology, but perhaps it will work temporarily even if only half as good. I also was thinking that this would be a waste and failure, but took the chance.I have used this for two nights so far and it actually works pretty well. It stays cool for about up to 1.5 to 2 hours, which is only about one hour less than my Outlast one last! These are also half the price. One side is the cooling and the other side is normal, but I find the normal side fairly cooler than without, it only lasts for a few minutes though. (The Sleep Number ones work the same, but the cooling lasts longer).I did not have much hope for this pillow protector, but it surprised me.I do recommend it.

Pros
  • Made of high-quality, hypoallergenic fabric that's resistant to dust mites and allergens.
Cons
  • The pillowcase may make noise when the sleeper moves due to the silk material
