Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Walker Products Carburetor Kit - Model 151037 by David Padilla

Fix leaks fast, save money by repairing yourself.

Everything you need to fix a leaking carburetor, but you need to poke some holes in one of the gaskets. Why don't they fix the problems with this kit, there are two .187 dowel pins pressed into the air horn and the seals appear to have a manufacturing defect and you will not be able to reassemble the air horn to the valve body unless you drill holes in the seal. Taking your time, use a sharp drill with a block of wood under the gasket, making sure to trim away any excess material around the holes on the other side. Take the time to compare the old gaskets to the new ones to ensure you are using the correct ones for your carburetor. You can drill another set of holes to make sure they match your old gasket perfectly. On the underside of these old carburetors are some lead plugs that sometimes allow gas into the intake manifold after you turn off the engine. Using a 1/4 inch steel dowel or something round and flat on the bottom, place the pit directly on top of the stopper and tap it with a hammer, like a bell, hitting both stoppers once and the flow will stop . If you think it's better to buy another old remanufactured carburetor, there may be leaks as well. Take your time and do it right, you'll save about $250 and your carburetor will run and look like new.
