I have not been able to drink since I had a baby weighing almost 10 pounds. Luckily I'm not as thirsty as I was when I was pregnant, but afterwards I always carry a bottle of water with me wherever I go. It's almost like a security blanket. Because it's more important to me than anything in my purse, I prefer a water bottle to my purse when I can't carry both. I have young children so this is usual. I came across this product that basically replaces my wallet. It's big enough for my keys, some cash, a credit card, and even a tube of lip balm. It can be obtained by unscrewing the bottom from the natural seam. I've tried using a neoprene hydration pouch and stuffing my essentials in, and even tried a single pocket bag, but there just wasn't enough space. It has enough space for everything and hides it much more discreetly. It's also a great water bottle. It keeps my water cold for hours like you would expect from any high end bottle. It also easily attaches to your bag with the included carabiner.
