I bought some cheap Polk T50 speakers from the big department store for my home theater, but they didn't impress me. After looking at entry-level audiophile speakers, I settled on the Paradigm Monitor SE6000. These towers are surprisingly spacious and open to sound. High frequencies are crisp but not fatiguing, while mid-lows are tight and clear. In movies, it delivers great punch when needed without any distortion. But music. Wow. These towers opened up the widest soundstage I have ever heard in a pair of speakers. I can't say I've heard $2,000+ audiophile speakers, but my ears love the warmth and clarity these Paradigms offer. I've played everything on it from The Three Tenors to Sammy Hagar and I'm very happy with the sound. These SE6000 are possibly the best yet. You will not be disappointed.
