This simple range finder does what it's supposed to. It will also save your score and keep score, which is a nice feature. There is a learning curve to understanding this. It has an integrated belt clip, but if you're worried about losing your device, get a strap and carabiner to attach it to the belt loop. Garmin sells an accessory strap, but I went to my local hardware store and was able to assemble one for about $2. It takes about a minute to set the course, but the distances are accurate.
