We bought this for our table fountain that we have on our porch. After about 15 years, our native pump failed. This one is probably intended for tank use. The main problem with this is that it has such power that we have to be careful. When we first connect it, it can emit a cloud a few meters from the well, often making the operator very wet. After a series of experiments, we managed to keep it under control. The pump says it's pumping at 60 gallons per hour, which is about 55 gallons per hour more than we need. However, the birds love it, which is one of the reasons we have it. Now that we know how to control its excess abundance, it works exactly the way we want it to.
