Well I have thick curly hair that I religiously straighten. It's also a processed brown to which I sometimes add purple. I love this shampoo as it evens out my color and makes my purple last longer. I also love it because it weighs your hair down after a while unless you switch it up regularly and brush it with something else. For me it was amazing - during a horribly wet summer my hair was (and was) so well cared for - straight and not frizzy, even on the outside. But that's because it was complained. So if you don't want it, you can choose not to use it.
