Well I've only been using this for a short time and I can't yet say how effective it will be as a teaching tool. I can say that it was very well done (in fact even better than expected). It's nice and short so easy to rock indoors. However, I quickly realized that you still need space because I set it up in my basement and was too close to the shelves. It has some weight and it's nice to do a half swing back and forth, but I'm not sure if it really helps to learn a good tempo or swing plane. I have a SKLZ Gold Flex which I think is great for this but is too big to swing in my basement. Another option is related to the handle. I wear a large golf glove but I don't think my hands are that big and this molded grip feels a bit small. If you have large hands and/or fat fingers, this grip can be difficult to use. I suppose it can be truncated and set equal. Not sure I really need it, but for the price it's not bad for a winter swing.
