Review on πŸ“· Arducam Raspberry Pi Zero Camera Module, 5MP 1080P Compatible with Raspbian, MotionEye, Octopi, and More (Includes 2 Cable Variations) by Jerry Peebler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Eh get what you pay for.

He does what he advertises. The colors are washed out and the picture is not clear. I have another 5MP camera module that is actually much better than this one. The 720p image looks washed out. Although it might just be the hardware/software I'm using (Raspberry Pi Zero, running Kerberos.io). I had previously connected a Microsoft LifeCam and it worked much better. The only thing I couldn't achieve was higher FPS. At least this one does. Night time is basically useless. I realize this isn't a NOIR cam, but my life cam was at least able to spot people walking in the dark considering I live on a corner with a street light. You don't understand anything with that. All you see is where the street lamp should have been. I gave it 3/4 not because the display was misleading but because it's a so-so 5MP camera.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • A few little things
