Eh get what you pay for.

He does what he advertises. The colors are washed out and the picture is not clear. I have another 5MP camera module that is actually much better than this one. The 720p image looks washed out. Although it might just be the hardware/software I'm using (Raspberry Pi Zero, running Kerberos.io). I had previously connected a Microsoft LifeCam and it worked much better. The only thing I couldn't achieve was higher FPS. At least this one does. Night time is basically useless. I realize this isn't a…

Works well with computer accessories and peripherals

I use my camera with RPi Zero W to monitor locations around the house. In order for the camera to work through the web port, I use motion. You need to look at the motion.conf file to make it work the way you want it to. Install the camera: apt-get install motionload the kernel modulessudo modprobe bcm2835-v4l2 To load the kernel module at boot: In /etc/modules-load.d/modules.conf add this line: bcm2835-v4l2 Works pretty well.

The ribbon cable had a slight crack after some fiddling.

The ribbon cable broke a bit after messing with the Pi and camera to set it up. I had to buy another official raspberry. Comparing the quality of the two cables, the official one is much stronger. Cable aside, the camera works great and has decent image quality for what I need it for.

Great camera but not fully compatible with the official Raspberry Pi Zero W camera body

my Raspberry Pi 3 B and Zero, I have tested both ribbon cables. Everything worked fine. I love the fact that you can use two cables to swap between the camera ports for the Pi Zero and other Pis that use a wider ribbon cable. This article also included some very useful instructions on how to enable the camera feature on Raspbian. There is an extensive online community that is very helpful for you with project ideas. Perfect! best audio and video accessories

While waiting for a camera replacement I can only really comment on what I have and the customer service. Firstly what I received as high quality even though my camera was defective. Second, and more importantly, my customer support experience has been fantastic! They really work with you to fix a technical issue. They were nice and polite and gave great information.
