I use my camera with RPi Zero W to monitor locations around the house. In order for the camera to work through the web port, I use motion. You need to look at the motion.conf file to make it work the way you want it to. The ribbon cable broke a bit after messing with the Pi and camera to set it up. I had to buy another official raspberry. Comparing the quality of the two cables, the official one is much stronger. Cable aside, the camera works great and has decent image quality for what I need it for.
