I gave 4 stars for cuteness. This is a unique design that you can't find locally and it actually turned out to be cuter than I thought it would be when I bought it. I kind of settled for this because I couldn't find any other mermaid pillowcases that weren't cheesy or too detailed and for older but not too cute nonsense. It was a good compromise, and like I said, he was cuter in real life than I thought. I didn't give it five stars because it's not the soft microfiber I was expecting, it has a more cottony feel but without the scratchy feel cheap cotton can sometimes have. It works on the smaller size of the standard pillowcase. It will still fit, but not with a nice long edge. I used this as a bed sheet for my baby's bassinet as you can see in the picture. It's also thinner than I thought. It's thin enough to look almost like sheer or smooth satin, but feels more like cotton. I wasn't disappointed, but I don't know if I would buy another product of this type if it didn't meet my need for originality.
