Overall this is a good bottle that should work well and not leak. You have to wash it before use as I had small pieces of plastic inside. As others have said, the weak link is the plastic lid mount. It's not weak on its own, but it won't withstand a lot of abuse. The lid itself is good, easy to unscrew. The top diameter of the lid is approximately 1 3/16" and the hole you drink from is 5/8" in diameter. It has an opaque white rubber O-ring in the cap. The small steel tab holding the hinged end of the lid latch (the end opposite the lid) was not properly installed on mine, only on one of the two sides. attached to the top of the flask. It still works well and as designed and feels sturdy as it doesn't move at all, but it may not survive a fall/shock or rough handling as if properly attached to the top. Bottle.
