Great scanner in this price range

So far I like this mucar scanner. It took about 15 minutes to activate the device, set it up, register it and start the updates. Updates are free for the lifetime of the scanner. The diagnostic dongle that plugs into the OBD-II port is wireless and connects to the scanner via Bluetooth. I used the AUTO SEARCH feature and the scanner automatically found my VIN, year, make and model. A full system scan of my truck only took about a minute. From here I was able to view real-time data and graphs. If you're only interested in viewing and clearing error codes, you can choose "Health Check" instead. This Mucar scan tool will come in handy next time you make a used car/truck purchase. Unscrupulous sellers can erase error codes, but red flags can't be hidden from a scanner of this quality. For those who need to pass a smog check, this scanner can also come in handy. You can save time and money by inspecting equipment yourself and making necessary repairs in advance. Never again be caught in the shop by an unexpectedly failed smog control. I would recommend this Mucar scanner for more advanced hobbyists or mechanics at beginner to intermediate level (I worked as a mechanic for five years previously). For experienced mechanics, there are some high-level features like two-way communication and ECU coding, but they require payment of an annual subscription. This Mucar scanner contains 28 different reset functions. There are cheaper scan tools out there, but many only include two reset functions, with additional features available at extra cost. Should You Use This Mucar Scanner? You can determine this by looking at the 28 reset functions to see how many of them you would actually use. I know I'll be using at least eight resets during regular maintenance and general repairs, so it's worth the extra cost to me. a single system and its operational data at the same time. I can't figure out how to view all systems at once or if it's even possible. I also know that some very high quality scan tools (costing many thousands of dollars) can give you information on automatic transmission shift times. This information can be useful in determining the status of the transmission. If this information exists on this scanner, I cannot find it. However, given the price of this scanner, I can't rightly rate any of these things as negative.
