Review on Zoeller 004892 Effluent Pump with Switch for 53-0001: Reliable and Efficient Solution by Mario Schultz

I replaced the switch on a Zoeller 53 series pump. It's 3.5 years old (just out of warranty) and runs about every hour and a half. I noticed that the float didn't rise to turn on the switch as the water level rose. When I opened the top of the pump I found that the electrical contacts and switch were submerged in water. Very dangerous and very annoying So I replaced the switch with this kit from Zoeller. The installation wasn't that difficult at all. Unfortunately, the set made absolutely no difference. Replaced the pump with a different design. Disappointing. And yes, the float is still floating - the switch/housing is the problem.
