Comes with many replacement cotton filters, the unit takes up very little space, looks good and is easy to use. Verdict: It was cheap and it works, but don't get your hopes up on it. The opening mechanism is simple - just unscrew the top from the base. Doesn't require flipping like some other inexpensive devices. Just pour water into the base. I use distilled water and pour directly from a liter jug. For my standards, the device is very quiet. I only hear it when I'm very close and above. I sleep with the window open and can't hear the humidifier because the noise is coming through my window. When I ran it on my desk at work the other day, I heard it but didn't find the sound intrusive/annoying. The cable that came with the device is too short, but it uses standard micro USB, so you can use your own (longer) cable if you want. The device switches off automatically after about 4 hours, even if there is still a lot of water inside. Presumably this is to prevent the humidifier from running without water, but a water level sensor should have been used instead (timers don't prevent users from forgetting to fill the reservoir). I prefer the intermittent spray mode so it always stays about half full when it shuts off automatically. I ran it while sleeping when the seasons changed (it was cold and dry). As such, I would prefer a device that runs longer before automatically shutting off (6-8 hours) or only turning off when it's out of water or turned off. I suppose there are options made specifically for this purpose, but I didn't want to spend the money. The night light option does not allow you to select an LED color. When the LED is on, it alternates between colors. I'd rather choose the color I want than ride a bike.
