I've put aside ordering a comforting bed for my 9 pounder. Maltipu. He either destroyed the beds or refused to even lie on them. Climbing the web, I chose this brand. I bought a small crib and he is comfortable in it. He prefers to lie on my lap, but when that's not an option, he'll settle for a soft, fluffy bed. In fact, we found that he is now climbing without our intervention, sometimes to play and sometimes to rest. The bed arrived vacuum packed and almost flat. Once the plastic wrap is opened and removed, it begins to bulge and continues to grow to its full size. I pulled myself together and lightly slapped the whole bed and it stopped swelling. The center seems to be well filled. There was no smell from the bed (I've read that some beds take a few days for the smell to dissipate). The fur is soft and luxurious. I just hope it holds up well when it needs to be washed. I'm thinking about leaving a second bed in our RV so I don't have to move that bed in and out on every trip, but I'll wait until I see it being washed and dried. I would recommend this bed. UPDATE: My Ziki loves this bed! We decided to order a second bed for our RV so we didn't have to lug it back and forth from home. I just made a new bed, fluffed it up and he took it away for about an hour without moving a muscle. I am so happy with these beds and have shared with friends about them and how much the dog loves them. In fact, he usually asks me to sit on my lap every time I sit down, which I'm not supposed to do on an empty lap!
