These rods work great. They have excellent tensile strength for my home projects for joining stainless steel to stainless steel or stainless steel to copper, and the flux does a great job cleaning a dirty surface creating a strong bond. I have used propane and MAPP with these wands. When I called Aufhauser, the service was friendly and helpful. My only problem with flux coated rods is that I sometimes burn the flux off the rod, causing me to run through the flux faster than the rod. I intend to buy again.
