This case is hard to beat for the price. We got a new car with fabric upholstery instead of leather. The black dog hair that used to be easy to brush off the skin was now intertwined with the brown fabric of the back seat. Ugly and not easy to handle. I wanted to find something easy to install and remove; something that looked decent when installed; and something that didn't cost an outrageous sum. This item meets all of my criteria. I haven't had to clean it or test its water repellency yet, so I can't comment on the quality on that. There was a slight odor when the new case, but nothing out of the ordinary. The smell quickly dissipated. I'm too sensitive to such things and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the cover could be used even with the car windows open. The cover fits our 2019 Subaru Outback like it was made for it. Highly recommended.
