Review on JGbike 10-Speed MTB Groupset for Shimano Deore M4100: Right Shift Lever, Long Cage Rear Derailleur, 11-42T or Sunrace 11-46T Cassette, KMC X10 Chain by William Lin

The cassette looks high quality, nice when everything is there. However, I'm not sure that pairing a Deore derailleur with this cassette would be a great combination. I installed everything on the bike but I can't get the derailleur to shift between gears properly. No matter how I adjust the high/low limit screws or the cable tension, it at least skips a middle gear. IOW, shift from 3rd to 4th, chain stays in 3rd. Shift back into 5th gear and it will jump into 5th gear. I've installed several switches over the years and I know they can be difficult to get right, but I've never had this many problems. Shifts quite slowly sometimes. I never had a problem shifting with the old derailleur on the same bike which was a 9 speed XTR circa 2003. I expected the new Deore to do at least as well as the 17 year old XTR.
