I have a tandem bike and was having trouble getting the stand for it. This one helped, although installation was difficult and resulted in scratched joints. There were no instructions in the kit which didn't make the task any easier, so I broke the reflector included in the kit. In the end, the stand looks good and works well. I'd say it's strong enough to mount as much gear on it as possible without sacrificing balance. We attached a soft-sided cooler to it and use it for picnics.
