I had an old pair of Kailash GTX's that I had for about 8 or 9 years and they held up exceptionally well, were comfortable, durable and waterproof. I only had to replace them because the sole was totally worn out and a small patch of leather on the side where it meets the sole was torn and no longer waterproof which is important to me. The hole was only 1/4 inch long and probably could have been avoided by changing soles. I tortured these boots. almost 2 years old and a lot of wear and tear from years of physical work. They've been used harder than they probably should be and they've lasted way longer than I expected. The new ones are still pretty much the same. I've been wearing them for about 2 months and so far so good. They look great and feel great. I have no complaints yet. If they last the same 8-10 years as the old pair it will be worth the price. That being said the only other boots I've had that have withstood 5+ years of hard wear are the Frye boots which are about 50% more expensive.
