Before and after are not the same. First, this is NOT an easy project so be aware of what you're getting yourself into. As with any project of this nature, working with live pets or humans can be challenging. But that's the least of the problems with this set. First, there is only one easel of two sets, so be aware. Second, it's too small to add a name or date. I made the smallest print of cats that can be made. There is no space to add a name and you must write in clay by hand. So spend a little more and get a stamp set, or just plan on printing without personalization. Also, I'm on day 3 of the drying process and it's not difficult. But the photos in the seller's description are misleading. Smooth, rounded edges and a flat shape are most likely not the end result, regardless of whether the dough is kneaded and rolled out with a small wooden stick (tip: use a bottle or small bowl to roll out the dough), but flat and afterwards kneaded, now put the cat/dog/child in an awkward position to put pressure on the dough. It comes with every kit but this kit is disappointing and you can see the creases in the photos and the edges and even without the cat's name the edges and texture are not smooth. Also, use wax paper instead of aluminum foil. I did both casts of both cats 3 times, rolling out, kneading and starting again each time as the instructions said, finally settling on the photos shown. But they can't be gifted and I spend extra money on a stamp set to add names and hopefully better quality. I would not recommend this kit.
