Review on Moog CK620174 Control Joint Assembly by Aaron Jones

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great product/ UPDATED 29 May 2017

Shipped right to my door. installed perfectly, fits perfectly. durable like OEM wishbones. Remember when the part says LEFT at the top or RIGHT at the top. It's not you standing in front of a vehicle and looking at the truck. This is you when you stand in front of the vehicle and look away from the vehicle. is it right RIGHT or LEFT. or imagine you are driving. anyway great product. Also, be sure to support the lower control arms when removing and installing new upper control arms. Update in 2 months. When installing the wishbones, we noticed, among other things, that the ball joint was pulled up on one side. But we decided it was design. We accept this for alignment and even the Les Schwab technicians asked themselves the same question as we did, if this is normal. They said there was no movement in them so they did the alignment and everything was fine. The steering wheel was still not quite straight so we sent it back after about 2 weeks and they tried to adjust it further but couldn't because of the ball joints. It's just that they have some Moog upper control arms and they said those on the truck are defective. The ball joint must be completely flush and must not be bent. So we fitted another set of upper arms to the truck and the ones Moog sent us are now obsolete. I still have a very high and positive opinion of Moog because I have bought many Moog undercarriage parts and none of them have failed. I have no idea why these are defective. But we can't return them because 2 months have passed. However, if you get them in the mail, you need to make sure the ball joint is completely flush with the control arm. If not, then back immediately.
