I like that it turns itself off and works in different countries. I would give it five stars but there is a flaw in the way they put the two pieces together. There's a plastic stopper that should prevent the two pieces from coming together too tightly, but all it does is catch and break the hair. You need to make sure that the hair stays only on the metal part of the iron. If it slides off the metal plate towards the cable, it will get caught on the plastic stopper (stand) that prevents the two arms from closing too tightly. If you slide through your hair it will break. This works well if you're focused on keeping your hair out of that area, but it's a little awkward for me. I only bought this for travel so I think I can make it work, but I don't want it to be an everyday curling iron.
