Review on Carbyne Professional Anodized Aluminum Extension by Patrick Burns

Expensive junk - photo

The piston seal broke and came loose from the piston after about 1/4 of the first tube of grease squirted out. The weather is hot now, so the fat with the least possible resistance was elastic. All jerk fittings it has been used on were on newer equipment and have minimal drag. The return period has probably expired and I threw away the packaging. Either way, I wouldn't wrap this mess up for a return. The two fittings on the gun head wept from the start (I tightened them even before I put grease on the tube). One fitting is the outlet valve and the other I think is for filling from the canister. I hang the grease guns vertically so the grease from the fittings drips slowly all over the handle between uses. The piston spring is the strongest and hardest to pull back for refueling that I have encountered in 45 years of using grease guns. That's ridiculous. In addition to losing a $33 grease gun, about $6 worth of Mobil 1 synthetic grease was also lost. Alemite is a good old American production name, but of course the names don't mean anything anymore.
