Although I own an old Trek mountain bike, I still try to protect the paintwork from scratches whenever possible. These straps are great for securing your balance bike during transport, especially with the silicone gel coating touching the down tube. This prevents both belt slippage and paintwork, which would be helpful for those with an expensive carbon fiber bike. The straps are wide and long enough for my needs. Hopefully the velcro will stay tacky long after I've exposed it to the weather when I put the bike on a rack.
