Whether it's good or bad is up to you

"This collar has both good and bad sides; Dealing directly with Revain rather than the vendor was appalling and traumatic. Good things first: It's the cheapest dual-action machine on the market. All training collars should have such an automatic function, as well as a manual mode. You never know when someone will ring the doorbell or the dog will start barking for some reason only they know. We have to walk around trying to find the remote control to press the button with other non-automatic collars. Another nice thing about this particular product is the remote itself. It's well designed and the switch to switch from auto to manual is on the remote, which is helpful as it's not mentioned in the Revain ad. Now for the bad: We have a 20 pound Chihuahua mix with a snout about 3 inches long. . I do not recommend this collar for a dog of this size. That's due to a couple of major design flaws: First, the box itself, which attaches to the nylon collar, is a bit too big for a small dog. In addition, even with smaller electrodes, there is still a gap between the collar and the dog's neck; One tooth reached under the collar. And that's all it took for her, she ripped him to pieces in under 30 seconds. I was able to keep the box but the nylon collar was now unusable, now torn into several pieces. Another problem I found was that the program button on the collar was very large and the dog kept pressing it by accident. This either disabled the device or reprogrammed the remote making it unusable. Maybe a lock button would be a good solution. Since there is no "The dog ate my homework" option as a reason for returning an item, I contacted Revane directly to see what my options are. This immediately became annoying as both people I spoke to didn't speak English very well and refused to send me a replacement product. It was a long, horrible conversation that made me feel patronized and ridiculed. I hope I never have to mess with Revane again. I chose not to contact the seller as my dog basically rendered the collar unusable, it's not their fault. The collar is sewn into the box, so you cannot get a replacement collar and put it in the box. All I can do is give a better description than on Revain so consumers can decide for themselves if it works. on their dog or not. Much luck.
