Will NOT work with AMD processors

I saw that someone posted a question about whether this product will work with AMD. Maybe they meant AMD GPUs, I'm not sure. To clarify, this does NOT work with AMD processors. Playing 4k Blu-ray HDR discs requires Intel "SGX" (Software Guard Extensions) which doesn't work on AMD platform (maybe it can be hacked/rigged somehow, but I'm talking about "standard" functionality ). 3 computers I tested this disc on with Cyberlink PowerDVD 20 Ultra. The software that came with the drive (PowerDVD 14) is very old and doesn't support 4k playback; Rather, you can run standard Blu-rays with it (maybe I'm not sure if it supports more since it's quite old). To my knowledge, PowerDVD 20 (and probably 19) are the only software packages available that will allow you to play 4k Blu-ray discs. So you're pretty much limited to buying one if you plan to use this disc for its intended purpose. As I said, I have 3 systems. System 1: AMD Threadripper 3960x with RTX Titan playback was not possible due to lack of SGX support. System 2: 10th gen HP Specter x360 OLED 4k laptop with i7 rendering worked well, although movie load times were a bit slow. Looks fantastic on an OLED panel as you would expect. System 3: Intel i5 9600k with RTX 2060 EVGA KO playback works fine but again a little slow to boot. I think this is a limitation of the Pioneer drive itself. Future generations may be faster in read speed. Tested on my LG Nano IPS TV, worked well and looked amazing. I haven't tested many films yet, so I'm not sure if there are any films this isn't compatible with or that might need a firmware update. I tested the original Predator in 4k and Ghostbusters, both of which are older films but worked fine. Predator just came out in 4k, so despite the age of the film itself, as far as I know it's a brand new release, so it was probably made using the latest standards. It played well and looked exactly as you would expect from an aging 4k remastered film. The drive looks good and is aesthetically pleasing, has a fairly thin profile, and is easy to transport. I'm not willing to take it along with my HP Specter and can enjoy ultra high quality movies on the go. I think discs are sadly a dying format and we will all be forced to stream our media at some point, but if you want to watch uncompressed videos at the highest quality for now, this is the way to go. Overall I would give the product a 4/5 because it doesn't come with any useful software and because you MUST be using an Intel based system (this isn't Pioneer's fault, it's a DRM issue that AMD doesn't seem to support). *Update* You can't play 4k discs on a dedicated GPU, period. The display MUST be connected to the IGP (i.e. HDMI output on the motherboard). If you try to play a movie while connected to an Nvidia GPU (not tested by AMD), you'll get a message that your card can't play UHD discs and/or your drivers must be "out of date". "If you're using a desktop computer, make sure your motherboard's HDMI port is version 2.0b or higher, otherwise you won't be able to play HDR content (4k still works but isn't part of HDR).
