I bought butter and cream. I chose this brand because I liked the name. The products arrived quickly and in excellent condition. After cleaning and trying out the cutting boards, I started with a coat of oil on each side and around the edges. I leave it for a couple of hours and apply another coat. I ended up doing four coats of oil. They were in BAD condition and thirsty! I left the last layer of oil overnight. In the morning I wiped the boards down with a clean rag to remove excess oil. I then applied a layer of cream, again on each side and around the edges, and left it on for 24 hours. In the morning I took a rag and wiped off the excess. I had a lot of time to kill so didn't mind waiting, but you can actually easily get it done in a day or two if you want. These boards were pure white, faded, and looked like her last leg. After Boos, they look bright, shiny and smooth. It didn't feel greasy. The cream works LONG so I'm sure it will last forever. I used quite a bit of oil for four coats on two cutting boards (one large board and one small) and still have a nearly full bottle.
