I am returning the first item delivered because the cream block is brownish and not silky at all. The color should be yellowish like in the picture. The seller immediately replaced. I received it but it still looks the same, brownish instead of yellowish. I'm skeptical about using it on my boos block as I'll be cutting food here. All the creams I see in the pictures and even in the store are yellow. But the seller is good at replacing the product very timely, but I'm not sure about the product.

When I first thought about buying the Boos Block Essential Mystery Oil and Board Cream Care and Maintenance Kit I was concerned that it might seem a bit pricey, isn't it overkill but more than I paid for the mineral oil I used on the cutting boards. I oil and wax my John Boos block once a month as it's a really big cutting board, quite expensive and important to protect and look after. "Essential Mystery Oil" is easy to apply, penetrates the wood and washes out well. Whatever oil they sell seems to be working. The board cream (wax) was difficult to work with. It's difficult to squeeze out of the tube (and good luck squeezing!), and it stays thick, with plenty of wasted product when you wipe it off, and inevitably goes through a dozen paper

I bought butter and cream. I chose this brand because I liked the name. The products arrived quickly and in excellent condition. After cleaning and trying out the cutting boards, I started with a coat of oil on each side and around the edges. I leave it for a couple of hours and apply another coat.
