So I wanted them to be accurate. And I wanted them to be of good quality. Unfortunately, the only good thing is the value. They are marked to within 1/1000th of an inch. However, most were/are 4/1000 smaller. This means that the 1/2" or .500" rod was actually .4965" long (measured using both digital and standard calipers; see images). Remember that a sheet of carbon paper is .0030". long so they are very different This is NOT a big issue when working with wood but you should state your tolerances in your description.
