Review on Brushed Nickel 💧 Grohe Rotaflex Metallic Hose by Anthony Jagers

I have four identical Grohe hoses at home. Two in the shower, one in the pull out kitchen faucet and the last one on the shower head in our jacuzzi/tub. Three out of four have broken (leaked, cracked, torn, etc.) in the last ten years. I used to just buy new ones until I had trouble matching the color of the brushed nickel shower rod in our MBR shower. I went to the Grohe website to see if they could find this part and couldn't find it. So I sent a message through the customer support email/message portal and received a free replacement in just under three weeks. I give them an A for their customer service and support in getting me a new and somewhat expensive replacement with ease. They lose half a star because the hose they sent as a replacement is bright chrome plated instead of the nickel I asked for. However, it was free and actually looks pretty well installed. I also don't think they make a matching color for mine (nickel) anymore so this may have been inevitable. So our first MBR shower hose lasted about eight years before it started leaking near the connection and suffered a lot. The rest, which failed, lasted less than five years. I want all my hoses to last about ten years or more. Right now, only one hose out of four installations in my house stands a chance, which means the best I can give them is a 25% reliability rating. So you lose half a star for reliability, which would mean losing a full star if you didn't replace the defective hose. Conclusion: My initial reliability of these hoses is better than other reviewers, but still unacceptable. Grohe's replacement policy solves this problem a lot for me and I think it does for others too, but you have to put in the effort to write Grohe and then be patient to get a free replacement.
