Bought as a Halloween costume. I have driven my car on a real racetrack (Sebring) on and off and can definitely say that it would be too heavy and too hot to use in a real racing situation. I also found it uncomfortable but maybe the bottom layer would add to the comfort but make it even heavier and uncomfortably hot to wear for very long. Not very expensive when I bought it but it appears to be fake and maybe not flame retardant at all. I'm not sure how I would verify that. It came out of the box and smelled absolutely horrible. I think if you're going to be wearing it might be a good idea to let it air out. I'm thinking about washing it but can't find instructions on how to do it.
