Review on 🚗 Monroe OESpectrum 5667 Shock Absorber: Premium Performance for Passenger Cars by Stanley Redline

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Monroe used to be reliable, but these suck!

Purchased in April 2018 to replace stock shocks on a 2013 Fusion with 40,000 miles. At 41,000, they began causing problems that were only revealed after chasing a car rattle for almost three months. Replaced the strut mounts, disassembled almost every part of the suspension, rear parcel shelf, seats and trunk to find the rumble because I didn't think my Monroe shocks which we are only 5 months old make that horrible noise could. ? Yes. The dampers only work at the bottom 50% of compression and don't return past that value. Not only that, they don't have the same shank diameter and thread length as the OEM, nor do they have threaded mounting holes, unlike OEMs who have threaded holes in the bottom bracket. Don't buy them, save yourself the hassle and suffering that literally took me 3 months to disassemble my car.
