I purchased this high pressure hose for use with the Lincoln Air Grease Gun. Thought that was standard. It would be better if the manufacturers specified the thread size. Hose will not fit Lincoln Air Grease Gun; The thread on the hose is much smaller. It seems Lincoln is the weird part. Your Lincoln 1156 Air Grease Gun has a 7/16-28 female thread and 1/8 NPT in the rest of the world. Could not find adapter to use 1/8 NPT ARES hoses. So I glued a grease gun to the 1/4 NPT and used a 1/4 NPT male to 1/8 NPT female adapter and now I have a 12" ARES hose on my Lincoln. And I'm compatible with other hoses and accessories. use the 1/8 NPT
