I was trying to turn my tablet into a laptop in a much more expensive case but ended up returning it because it was too heavy. I've searched and searched and am so glad I found this. I like this case a lot more than the one that costs three times as much. The lid has a small flap that flips open to completely close the case when opened. This makes it safer and more complete. The keyboard connects fairly quickly - ONCE you won't forget to turn on the bluetooth on the tablet. just a reminder The buttons work smoothly and make almost no noise. It comes with a removable keyboard cover and I think that would help keep the keys waterproof, but I'm not sure I like the cover during use. personal choice. The case itself is not very heavy but offers protection. I've only had it for a few days, but I'm already happy with my purchase. I bought red and it's a calm red. No fire truck is red.
