Installed and replaced a faulty WiFi router last weekend. This took about 10 minutes total including connecting the 5 port switch and rebooting the cable modem. Connecting two linked satellites took less than 30 seconds. I have full coverage in a 5,000 square foot one story home as well as good coverage outside of the home. Smart TVs have gone from constant stuttering to playing 1080P video streams on 2 TVs as well as normal web browsing with no issues. I powered off one of the satellites and unplugged it from the main router and it was back online in less than a minute. Initially, the app was very limited for managing everything (I run an entire Unifi system in my house, so I'm spoiled). The application automatically updated the firmware on all nodes immediately after installation and then again after 2 days. They added more controls for QOS, port forwarding, static IP addresses, DNS server selection, user blacklisting, etc. They added some features for SIP and IPTV which I haven't tried yet. You can also install Vlans. Not as full-featured as a full-fledged router, but certainly impressive. The app allows you to control and maintain the network even when you are away, which is useful as this setup is for my parents who sometimes need help with the 'internet'. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and more importantly I no longer receive calls that the internet has stopped working.
