Sounds good from the description but fails

When setting up the router, I followed the app's instructions, which were conflicting. However, my router refused to enter setup mode. I called and started an online chat for 24/7 tech support. The wait was horrible for both of them and they finally managed to connect to the online chat. The tech didn't seem to understand what my product was, an AC 1200 home system. I needed to know the model number of the router, and he was still having trouble, unaware that the AC 1200 came with three…

I hope you enjoy customizing your electronics at home.

It's great when it works! I've been using this device for 7 months now and have had to completely reset and reconfigure everything 5 times! Randomly the system stops working and all that works is a hard reset. There is no reset in the app that would help at all. Let me just say that if you have to reboot the whole system you will have to create a new wifi name as you will not be able to use what you used before. Otherwise the process will be aborted and you will have to start over. Not only do…

Looks great, terrible service, app needs an overhaul

I bought this mesh system because I thought it would work with all my smart home devices. It has 2.4 and 5GHz networks which is what I needed. But what they don't tell you is that the M3 doesn't let you turn off 5GHz or 2.4GHz if you have to. I have 3 devices, cameras that require 2.4GHz and four hardwired smart switches. Since Deco doesn't seem to differentiate between 5 and 2.4, my phone automatically connects to 5. Well, when I set up the cameras and switches with the apps on my phone, they…

Very impressive MESH system

Background: I am using the Amplifi MESH network in my house, works fine. We bought this system for my mother's house. During the holidays we all noticed that she has almost no WiFi throughout the house and we bought her a new laptop for Christmas. I wanted to make sure she was getting a reliable connection and maximum speed for all her devices. We purchased this system after extensive research and reading reviews. We bought and received the system. The next day I went to her house. Took me…

Weak and unstable - network products

I have a two-story house with an area of 2600 square meters. ft. My current TP-Link router works fine in the main room but crashes at the very top of the bedroom. I thought this new device would help, but it was actually causing dead spots throughout the house. I tried rearranging the extenders on each outlet but they didn't seem to give much signal unless you placed the extenders very close together. For example, the main router is in the family room. Next to the FR is the dining and living…

All WiFi issues solved

Installed and replaced a faulty WiFi router last weekend. This took about 10 minutes total including connecting the 5 port switch and rebooting the cable modem. Connecting two linked satellites took less than 30 seconds. I have full coverage in a 5,000 square foot one story home as well as good coverage outside of the home. Smart TVs have gone from constant stuttering to playing 1080P video streams on 2 TVs as well as normal web browsing with no issues. I powered off one of the satellites and…

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • For old

I read the reviews and even got the firmware update as advertised but I have YET found no way to distinguish between the 2.4 and 5GHz channels , it seems you merge them into one and your devices can "guess" what they need, BUT. Smart plugs for lights etc that you use in Alexa and Google Home that NEED a 2.4GHz channel will not be able to see this as the SSID to connect to. I even named it like my old 2.4GHz SSID to try and fool it even though it's a single channel combined. I just couldn't get…

Pros
  • Stable results when tested
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
