I think this will provide the UPF protection that I am after. The fabric is on the thicker side. One thing I like about it is that the armpits have enough room. It's a pet peeve of mine when the fabric is right up in my armpit where I sweat, especially on this type of sun protective shirt that you wear in hot weather. The sleeves themselves could be cut a little less wide, but then maybe it would have the armpit problem, hah. I also like that it completely covers my collar bone from the sun. This will come in handy in the late spring for working or walking outside.
