I don't know why they have 'stretch' as a star thing--this thing has NO STRETCH and it isn't supposed to. I only gave it 3 on water resistance because neither I nor the cat have tested that yet. I just got a new loveseat and even though I have it covered with a slipcover https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YXJPVYR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I wanted extra protection against little tiny claws and hork up. My loveseat has a 46" wide seat; I opted to order the oversize loveseat cover to get more coverage on the backs and arms--the excess was easy to tuck into the crevices. And as it turned out the color I ordered, khaki/beige is an almost exact match for the slip cover. Win/win!
