I have an old Kohler toilet with a square hole in the side for the flush arm instead of a round one and it doesn't fit at all when things get tight. I finally gave up in desperation and unfortunately waited too long before trying to come back. Now I have an unusable toilet in a rarely used bathroom. It's very annoying how many models of toilets and parts Koehler has. Nothing by default. You have to treat your toilet like a high-end appliance, look up the model number, and then hope you bought the right part. Too many problems! Old toilets are also difficult to identify!
